Evaluation report of the “kep.lab” participation format

The evaluation report on the participation format for Frankfurt citizens “kep.lab” has been published. In collaboration with Dr. Patrick S. Föhl from Netzwerk Kulturberatung and who is an external expert for cultural development planning, the Cultural Office of the City of Frankfurt conducted a citizen participation survey at a total of three locations in public spaces in August and September 2022. The survey format during the data collection phase gave interested citizens the opportunity to learn more about the ongoing cultural development planning and to contribute their wishes and ideas for the future of Frankfurt’s cultural landscape. In the form of a mobile spatial installation at central locations in the city (Museumsufer, Hauptwache, Osthafenpark), the “kep.lab” with its small gastronomic service and music program enabled a targeted exchange with as many different voices as possible from all parts of Frankfurt’s urban society. Both the wishes and ideas expressed by those citizens and the results of the additional surveys were incorporated into the workshops of the participation phase conducted from March to June 2023, and form an important basis for the ongoing planning process.
