Workshop #11:

Digital Educational Programmes

11 May 2023 ∙ 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. ∙ online

Not only does the digital age offer new possibilities for the production of art and culture, but also for cultural education. As an extension of analogue space, digital media and technologies create new access to art and culture and enable new formats of information, interaction and participation. In our workshop, we will investigate how the use of digital technologies in cultural education could be strengthened and how the exchange of knowledge and experience on questions of digital cultural education could be organised among cultural institutions. In addition, we will ask what further training programmes should be created for cultural educators and to what extent participatory digital cultural education programmes can contribute to strengthening cultural participation.

This kep.workshop will address the following questions:

1st In your view, what opportunities for strengthening cultural participation, for example among young people, do participatory digital educational programmes offer. In this context, what approaches do you consider to be particularly innovative? How could these be enhanced and improved?

2nd In your opinion, what further training programmes for cultural educators would be appropriate to encourage the use of digital technologies in cultural education?

3rd How could an exchange of knowledge and experience on questions of digital cultural education among cultural institutions be strengthened and promoted?

4th What technical requirements and technological resources are needed in the individual sectors in order to bolster and promote digital cultural education programmes?
