Artistic and cultural production in the digital age

The new digital media and technologies have initiated a radical change in our social relationships, affecting our forms of communication as well as many social and cultural practices. In the process, the digital age offers a wide range of possibilities for expanding forms of artistic language and producing new realities that become the subject of artistic debate. In our tenth workshop, we will discuss what preconditions could be created in Frankfurt to promote artistic exploration of digitality across all disciplines. We will also ask how the exchange and networking of cultural actors working in this field could be strengthened and what kind of further training for artists and cultural producers could contribute to reinforcing the use of digital technologies in art and culture.
This kep.workshop will address the following questions:
1st Do you think there is a need to create a venue for digital artistic and interdisciplinary practice? If so, what requirements would it have to fulfil?
2nd How could the exchange and networking of cultural actors who are increasingly dealing with digital technologies and digitalism be strengthened and promoted in order to encourage digital art and cultural production in Frankfurt
3rd What potential for strengthening digital artistic practice in Frankfurt could a shared workspace for the use of digital technologies have? What technological possibilities should it have at its disposal?
4th In your opinion, what further training programmes for artists and cultural producers would be useful in order to promote the use of digital technologies in art and cultural production?
